I am running windows XP and have been assigned 2 WUs for this project but they can not start as the files: Abort that one. job_1.0.xml is deprecated anyways. As for why the download keeps failing, not sure. ____________ ![]() ![]()

Hmmm, seems like there's a bigger problem. And I have no idea what it is... Will report back if/when I figure it out. *sigh*

Aborting the task did not stop the attempted download of those files. I had to reset the project to get them to stop. I believe that files can be tagged for any of several levels - possibly these were tagged for download for the project in general (don't know if this is even possible) or the application.

Sorry, I try and catch the WU so that I will get it, but there are so many people hitting my server, sometimes I'm not as fast. ;) ____________ ![]() ![]()

Well I think you might be close. I narrowed down to I think 2 files. The download/upload system sorts and organizes things. I think it's possible for that to get corrupt. Currently I'm running a WU just fine, based on other files. So for now I'll try and circumvent it. Then I'll try and fix it. If anyone's having this trouble. Reset and/or re-attach. Sorry, no idea what caused this. BOINC is fickle and not well documented. Too bad too; it's a great idea and lots of people willing to help out. ;) ____________ ![]() ![]()

One thing that has been done when attempting to catch problems like this is to restrict (block) all of the IP address ranges that do not match the local campus. This would possibly allow you to catch the problem WU .

same occurred again on linux. How long ago was that? This week I've sent out and gotten back about 60 work units that have come back successful. Is this old? ____________ ![]() ![]()
